First off, those that know me well, know I hate grocery shopping with a passion. But, especially now that I'm a single mom it's a must have. So, I went to Dillons today with the girls, and I was checking out. I unload my cart just like I do every other time I go there, and this punk kid checking me out starts running the belt and doesn't stop it..smashing my bread, hamburger, etc.. to smash horribly. UGH! So I was like...hey hey hold on it's smashing my bread, and the smart mouth kid says, "Well why'd you put it there?" Ummm hello? Isn't that what you're supposed to do? Then the little punk turns it back in and smashes a box of pasta shells so badly the box broke open and the shells go everywhere. I'm like you just smashed that box open, he says, "I didn't do a damn thing." WHAT! So, I look over to the bagger and said get the manager. I have to admit I was impressed with the manager, he came over, pulled that kid off the register immediately and told him to go to the back office, he then proceeded to take $10 off of my total bill. Man that kids was ticked off at me, he threw his apron down on the register and walked off. Some of you have followed me before when I focused on my scrapbooking and the blog was mainly just about that. A lot has changed in my life over the past 8 months so I'm going to change this blog up and focus on new and exciting things. I will still be doing things with scrapbooking, anyone who knows me knows I will never give that up completely :) But I'm also going to focus on many other things, like; helping other single moms with things I've learned, money saving tips, working mom topics, freebie listings, tips for moms with diabetes (like myself), and many other things.<br />A lot of you that know me personally know that my life got flipped upside down 8 months ago, which consisted of me getting a divorce, and becoming a single mom pretty much over night. Because of the situation I get no help from my Ex in the way of alimony or child support. I have come to discover that there are many many other women in my same situation, and I hope to be able to reach out to them. But, I also wanna be able to reach out to all those moms out there.
